Weekly Pay
Drivers are paid weekly using direct deposit. Pay periods are Sunday through Saturday midnight on all delivered loads.
Assigned Tractors
Tractors are assigned. If you are off for an extended period of time, and there are no unseated trucks available, we may use your assigned tractor to cover a load. We will notify you in advance.
Personal Fleet Manager and Payroll Representative
At Interstate we believe that people build relationships with people, not companies. Two of the most important people to a driver are the person who keeps them moving down the road and the person who handles their pay. Your Fleet Manager will look out for your best interest while keeping in mind customer requirements and the needs of the company, and will keep you informed as to what is going on in the company. Your Payroll Representative will answer question regarding your pay and provide assistance with issues.
Home Time
Home time varies with the fleet and division you are assigned to. On regional fleets home time runs between 7-14 days. On the line haul fleet it is between 14-21 days. Teams are normally assigned to our line haul fleet and will be out 21-28 days.
Rider Program
Our Family Rider Program is available to make your job more enjoyable. Passenger privileges are extended only to immediate relatives including legal spouses and registered domestic partners. There is no cost to you. There is an age restriction on children.
Driver Orientation
Our on-boarding process is a two day paid event. It is held in our offices in Tacoma, WA or Lebanon, TN. Transportation is provided as well as hotel accommodations and some meals.
Pet Friendly
We know that your cat or dog is like a member of your family. Pets must be pre-approved and a deposit is required.
